My knowledge of the paint industry began to grow while I was in high school learning the trade. I attended college at the University of Northern Iowa and received a degree in Construction Management, learning business and estimating. Upon graduation, I went to work for my father’s company as a painter, working my way into the office and eventually VP. In 2006, we sold the company, and I moved to Kansas City to begin my career with Sherwin Williams as a Commercial Sales Representative, which taught me the manufacturers side of the industry. My passion for the paint industry and desire for more drove me back into the contracting side of the industry in 2015, where I felt I could make a bigger difference.
